Why We Exist
We started HardenLabs because we were tired of software that cuts corners
Most software ships too fast and breaks too often. Features get bolted on to hit roadmap dates. Privacy becomes a checkbox exercise. User experience gets sacrificed for developer convenience. And then everyone wonders why people don't trust the tools they use.
HardenLabs was founded on a simple belief: you can build software the right way and still ship it. Correctness and speed aren't opposites — they're complements, if you're willing to think before you type.
We're a small, opinionated team. We build products we'd want to use ourselves. We started with API security because that's where we saw the biggest gap between what exists and what should exist. As a lab, we go where the problems are interesting and the solutions are worth building — security infrastructure today, and wherever the next hard problem takes us.

Do It Right
The correct fix is always better than the quick fix. We take on the harder problem now so we don't create three harder problems later.
Respect Privacy
We architect systems so we can't access data we shouldn't have. Not through policy. Through design. If we don't need it, we don't collect it.
Sweat the Details
Good software is made of a thousand small decisions, each made carefully. Error messages, defaults, edge cases — the details are the product.
Build to Last
We're not optimizing for the next funding round. We build software we plan to maintain for years. Boring technology, thorough tests, no shortcuts.

HardenLabs is based in the United States and led by Kelly Fisher, Founder & Principal — a software engineer with decades of experience building production systems across cloud infrastructure, security, and API platforms.
